The day is filled with landscape photography tuition out on location. This is a one-student-to-one tutor session and you will get all the help that is needed to maximize your learning from the day. The day will be solely tailored around your needs. You will have me show you what to look out for in creating those perfect images even before you have got the camera out of the camera bag, right through to advice and pointers to how to edit those shots. By the end of the session, you will have a full understanding of what the settings on your camera do so you can start being creative with your photography.

No prior knowledge is needed for this workshop.

Where is this workshop?

The day is filled with photography tuition on location in the stunning Brecon Beacons.

What will you learn?

You will learn about the "exposure triangle", this will help you understand how to correctly expose. Once you understand this, you will be able to be more creative with your images.

Reading your camera's light meter and learning about the different metering modes.

Manual focusing.

Filters - When and how to use netural density gradients and netural density filters.

Long exposure, how to set up and calculate exposure.

What to look out for in creating those perfect images even before you have taken the camera out of the camera bag.

By the end of this workshop you will be taking control of your camera, to let the creativity flow.

Essential Kit?

DSLR or CSC camera, spare batteries, memory cards, lens of your choice, cable or radio release for the shutter, sturdy tripod, lens cleaning kit, camera bag, warm and cool clothes, food and drink, sturdy footwear, change for car parking.

What is NOT INCLUDED?

Travel to and from the start location, food and drinks, camera or personal accident Insurance.

Booking Information

Booking is confirmed once full payment has been received via the checkout system. You will receive an email 2 days before the start date of the workshop, this is to confirm the starting location because we need to plan and amend finer details to accommodate the forever-changing UK weather.

Cancellations

You will receive a full refund if you cancel up to 4 weeks before the event.

If you cancel within 4 to 2 weeks before the workshop start date, you will receive a 50% refund, or a full refund if I can fill your spot. If you cancel within 2 weeks of the workshop start date, you will only receive a refund if I can fill your spot with another paying customer.

I reserve the right to cancel the workshop due to adverse weather or low ticket sales. In this case, you will be offered a full refund or the option to book for the rescheduled date. I cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred for travel, accommodation, or loss of annual leave if you have booked holiday from work.

Other Information

The locations we visit during the session may require the purchase of a car park ticket, please make sure you have adequate change.

Please bring along food and drink, sensible footwear for walking on unpaved pathways and suitable clothing.

The session will require a standard fitness level as we will be walking on unmade paths in the Brecon Beacons. and will need to be able to carry your camera bag while walking for 20-30 minutes.
